The AWO (Workers' Welfare Association) in Thuringia offers several counselling and advisory services to people who have recently arrived in Germany.

All counselling and advisory services offer individual counselling. You may also bring your family to the appointment if you wish. The counselling is confidential, this means that no information from the counselling session will be passed on to unauthorized persons. Our counsellors are qualified and experienced in asylum procedure counselling. All counselling and advisory services will try to give you an appointment as soon as possible.

Migration Advisory Service for Adult Migrants (MBE) and Youth Migration Service (JMD)

People who have recently arrived in Germany are confronted with many new rules, procedures, and laws. The specialised migration advisory services MBE and JMD support all people who have recently arrived in Germany and who are in possession of a German residence permit.

The MBE and JMD support migrants with their linguistic, professional, and social integration.

The MBE is open to all people aged 27 and above, the JMD is open to all people aged 12 to 27.

Asylum Procedure Advice (AVB)

People who have had to flee their home country often have many questions. Especially those who are still in the asylum procedure and are faced with the Asylum and the Residence Acts.

The AVB supports all people getting settled in Germany and advises on questions regarding the asylum procedure.
